SECRET SPECIMENS
Inspired by the surreal lyrics of Mexican rock band Fobia and the traditional Mexican board game Lotería, the mixed-media series “Especímenes Secretos(Secret Specimens)” is a portrayal of codes representing stories, thoughts and memories. Upon extraction from the psyche via poetry and music, the collected ‘specimens’ are organized by numbers, classified with titles and displayed inside lighted showcases.
